Travel the globe on Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, 2023, at Wild World Weekend, the two-day signature cultural heritage festival at the Atlanta Zoo. The event will highlight the dynamic cultures of Africa, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas with live music, dance and more.
Saturday, July 29th: Enjoy traditional Mexican dances at Alma Mexicana. Bollywood dance of Nakranta. Indonesian dance of Sangar Lestari. Laotian Dance of the Laotian American Association. Irish dance of Drake Irish Dance. And the mariachi tunes of mariachi bujos de oro.
Sunday, July 30th: Watch and listen to steel pan music from Africa and the Caribbean on ABiKE Music. Stories from Africa and the Caribbean by Tossinger. Traditional dance of the Pacific Islands by the Maculele Capoeira Academy. Spanish flamenco dance and verdore flamenco music. Native American traditional dance performed by Silver Ridge singers.
Activities and entertainment run from 10am to 3pm and are free for Atlanta Zoo members and children under 2 years old. Free with general admission. Plan your day at zoatlanta.org.
