A gray tabby dog was found roaming the streets and taken to the city’s animal shelter for help. It is said that she had a heavy pregnancy and that she had been roaming the area for a year.
In desperate need of a foster home, the staff contacted rescue groups because the shelter environment was not suitable for keeping kittens. salty animal rescue In response to their pleas, the pregnant woman was taken into their care.
“At about five years old, no one knows how many times she’s given birth. Luckily, this was her last birth,” said Carly, co-founder of the conservation group.
After exploring the new space for a bit, Sage approached people for pets with caution. She was happy with her new arrangement and very happy to have her company.
With a quiet, comfortable room and plenty of food at his disposal, Sage quickly felt safe and even threw himself on the floor, exposing his round belly.
A few days later she welcomed six kittens into the world. They came with voracious appetites and enough strength for their newborn babies. Sage was a wonderful mother from the beginning, energetically cleaning and nursing her demanding six and catering to their every whim.
The kittens (4 boys, 2 girls) grew bigger every day while Sage was busy with mommy’s work around the clock.
“She’s the best mom ever. She’s one step closer to living the best life at home forever in the future.”
Sage watched her kittens double and triple their weight and hit milestone after milestone. “These are some of the plumpest kittens we’ve ever had.”
As soon as their eyes opened, they began to move around and play, keeping watch over their mother.
Once they figured out how to run and jump, they would walk around the room, chasing each other as if they owned the place.
Once the six were weaned and became more independent, Sage decided to quit being a mom and spend most of her time with her family.
She enjoys being the center of attention, being the only cat in the house. “Sage made it very clear that he wanted to be the only animal in the house.”
She likes to have her stomach rubbed on demand and will gladly lie on her back.
Sage is five years old, but he’s still a kitten at heart. She plays very well and she loves everyone she meets. She likes lounging on the couch next to people and purring her to sleep.
“She did a great job raising her last child, and all her little ones have found the best forever. Now it’s Mommy’s turn,” Carly said.
“Sage is looking for a home where she will be pampered and loved all the time. A family that treats Sage like a princess and gives her everything she needs.”
We may never know exactly how she ended up on the streets, but “Sage will have a better life than she ever dreamed possible.”
