BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was held back by a dog for the second time during a live corner of BBC Breakfast on Tuesday 4 July.
Kirkwood, 61, made his predictions live from Wimbledon with a search dog named Wraith by his side. After her forecast, she praised her puppy’s behavior by saying: “How well-behaved is he? He hardly moves except to get his tummy rubbed.“
Mr. Kirkwood was awed and completely unaware of what was to come. “Isn’t he just perfect?”
Unexpectedly, before Kirkwood finished saying “I have a relationship with a dog…”a “well-behaved” Wraith, with a tennis ball in his mouth, suddenly took off, dragging the reporter with him.
Kirkwood was literally thrown off his feet. And when the camera panned to her, she was already sitting on the floor laughing while Wraith stared into the distance and wagged her tail.
Meanwhile, presenters John Kay and Sally Nugent watched the events unfold from the studio.I heard Kay scream “Holy crap!”Nugent commented: “It happened again!” Before asking if the weathercaster was okay.
Kirkwood, still sitting on the floor, suddenly said, “It’s the Chelsea Flower Show again.””
Both Kirkwood and Nugent There was a similar incident in 2021 — when Ms. Kirkwood was giving a live weather forecast at a garden show when a guide dog named Flash dragged her to the floor.
