A stray tabby cat befriends a kind-hearted veterinarian at Crosskeys Animal Hospital. The streets were obviously tough on him, as he was frequently attacked by other cats in the neighborhood.
Veterinarians noticed his friendly side and knew he wasn’t suited for the outdoors. She began making plans to get him off the streets and contacted a local animal rescue group. community cat clubfor assistance.
After some struggle, she was able to get the cat inside. They named him Baba and estimated him to be about five years old. He’s probably spent most of his life on the streets, but now he’s finally safe.
Tabby exploded with gratitude, purring and cuddling to those who helped and cared for her. He was very friendly and eager to charm everyone. A few scrapes to his head and ears made him the happiest boy on earth.
“Bubba is a really sweet kid. Despite his tough life outside, he’s the biggest love bug,” shared the community cat club.
The road was rough and tumbling, Baba arrived with battle scars, FIV+, but full of love and vying to walk to the volunteers for their attention.
When I was petted, I closed my eyes and made a loud gurgling sound to catch everything.
No one came to pick him up while he was under protection. His personality really shined when he was placed in foster care.
Baba is overjoyed to have a safe and comfortable place to live, no longer having to fight over food or territory. Most of all, he was obsessed with his foster mother, hunched over on his floor and gestured for his stomach to be rubbed.
Every time he was loved by humans, he would purr a storm and roll over on his back. Eventually he fell asleep with his paws up in the air and his smile on his face.
“Baba loves to scratch his chin and rub his stomach. You can,” added the local cat club.
Baba loves people and despite his past he was very kind to other cats. His foster family watched him grow from a love-hungry feral cat to a giant, joyful love bug.
In perfect Baba fashion, he never stopped trying to charm people.
When someone rubbed her belly, she smiled and always wanted to be close to people. Every day he crept deep into the hearts of his adoptive parents.
They knew from the beginning that Baba was their place. After about a month in foster care, it was time to officially become a foster parent.
“His foster parents decided they couldn’t afford to let him go. Baba clearly loves the cozy living inside. We are very grateful to this handsome, burly man and his new family. I’m satisfied.”
