Last month, Amy Be Their Voice Animal Conservation A mother cat and her 5 kittens are in need of help.
The cat froze in fear and huddled with the kittens in the corner of the shelter, trying to protect them from the noise. They desperately needed foster parents, so Amy rushed to the rescue and she used “Be Their Voice” to get them to safety.
“She was so skinny, she weighed only 6 pounds after giving birth. I could feel every bone in her body,” Amy told Love Meow.
As soon as they arrived at the foster home, they relaxed in the quiet and comfortable space that was set aside for them.
Without fuss or apprehension, Mother Cat Cherry began to care for her kittens and the wariness in her eyes faded. She was happy with her abundance of food and blankets at her disposal.
Cherry quickly made friends with her adoptive mother and was able to take a break from breastfeeding and explore her surroundings. Everything she saw piqued her interest and she happily packed more snacks along the way.
“Even though she’s been through everything, she was the sweetest person. She quickly settled back home knowing she and her baby were safe.”
Within two days of being placed in foster care, the cherries really blossomed. She ended up on Amy’s lap and thoroughly enjoyed being with her.
She was an attention grabber and a rap eater. “If I had left her alone, she would have lay there.”
The kittens are getting bigger and stronger, and they are beginning to understand how to use their paws. They tried to venture around the enclosure but cried for Mama Cherry halfway through the mini excursion.
About a month after her arrival, Cherry was taken to the vet due to ongoing stomach problems.
“During her stay, we took the opportunity to have her and her baby tested (tested for FIV and FeLV). Unfortunately, she tested positive for FeLV,” Amy told Love Meow. rice field.
Kittens had to be separated from their mothers to avoid exposure to the virus. Cherry will remain at the clinic to recuperate and officially retire from her motherhood.
She was very kind to the veterinary staff who looked after her and was happy to know that the kittens were in good hands. She said, “Everyone at her clinic really loved her.”
The kittens continued to thrive under the care of foster parents. They learned to eat on their own, pounce on each other and play hard.
Amy found herself covered in a pile of sleepy kittens. “My paws were completely asleep. But as we all know, you can’t wake up with a cat or kitten sleeping on your lap.”
When Cherry was ready for adoption, they hoped to find the perfect home for her, and it didn’t take long.
“She’s found a nice house with lots of windows overlooking the kingdom. In her new home, she’ll have another FeLV buddy and two golden retrievers,” Amy said.
“She’s a really special cat. She’s kind, gentle, and loves and trusts everyone she meets.”
The kittens still have a lot to grow, but Cherry is on her way to a new home to live the luxurious life she’s always wanted.
