A long-haired black and white cat was found abandoned on a farm. He joins the pack of cats that the farm family has protected over the years.
The number of cats continued to grow and became difficult to care for. The family sought help from the rescue her community. Julie, an animal rescuer, volunteered to get all the cats and kittens to safety.
“Kocco (cat) was one of the last cats captured. He stayed on top of the barn and slept in front of the window.” Chatons Orphelins Montreal share.
Kokko was hungry, so one day he climbed out of the window sill and stepped into a humane trap. Julie immediately took him to the vet for her evaluation.
He was treated for his injuries, vetted and castrated. For the first few days, Kocco was frightened and wary of people. He kept his head down, trying to avoid eye contact.
With the help of many volunteers, Kocco and the rest of the barn cats made it to Foster Care through Chatons Orphelins Montreal.
“Kocco desperately needed a tooth extracted. He also couldn’t open his eyes because of an infection,” shared the rescuer.
Kocco had one tooth left after a full dental treatment, but no more pain or discomfort. “He’s much happier with his food now.”
As time went on, Kokko started to fill up and his energy level skyrocketed.
The pretty boy became very fond of his people because he found them to be well-intentioned. He discovered the joys of catnip and toys, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with humans and participating in their lives.
As he recovered, his coat became soft and fluffy. He was full of character and charm.
“He’s very sweet and has changed a lot since he was rescued. Now he likes to sleep near humans for attention and cuddles.”
Kocco has a very expressive and easy-going personality. He gets along beautifully with kittens and dogs.
Kocco has a pair of eyes that seem to tell the story of a lifetime. He is a little gentleman who likes to be pampered and loved. He likes to take a nap by the window to get some warm sunshine.
Despite her many experiences, Cocco enjoys her new life without worrying about the world. “He’s very fluffy, short-legged, and has a peculiar expression.”
Kocco is ready to find a forever home that will be loved forever.
“He likes to hug people to sleep and climbs into their beds every night and hugs them every night.”
“Kocco survived the stray life and was rescued from the barn. So happy to see him happy, warm and safe.”
