The cement wall at the Minneapolis Animal Conservation and Control Agency (MACC) wasn’t tall enough for two animals that couldn’t stay apart.
Video from inside MACC shows a brown dog named Brenda jumping over a wall to spend time with Linda, another dog at the shelter.
Pit Bulls Brenda and Linda reportedly came to MACC at the same time. And the shelter wants the two to evacuate together.
Minneapolis Department of Animal Care and Management employee Madison Weissenbourne said she had to look twice when she saw Brenda and Linda in the same kennel as she was walking around the kennel with another employee. rice field.
“Two puppies came to greet us in front of the kennel and we were like, ‘What?'” Weissenborn speaks CBS news.
The mystery was solved by CCTV footage showing Brenda climbing over a wall. Weissenborn said: “I watched the video we had again and I almost died. I thought this was really cool.”
Weissenborn also said she hopes the two will be adopted together. “I know it’s not going to be easy to put them together, but I’d love it if I could.” she said.
Weissenborn said the inseparable couple arrived at the shelter three weeks ago and found it almost full.
The shelter faces challenges such as handovers, lack of skilled veterinarians, and a slowdown in adoption of large dogs nationwide.
Brenda and Linda are still in foster care, as are many of MACC’s other rescue dogs.
MACC says there are no fees for adopting dogs over seven months old. Even if you can’t adopt, you can always choose to foster, donate, or volunteer.
