Five kittens born to two separate kittens have come to a foster home for a chance at a better life. Fred and Barney were found outside with their mother, who had stopped caring for them. Betty, Pebbles, and Bam-Bam were transferred from an affiliated animal shelter.
their adoptive mother As The Arlington Animal Welfare Federation provided a comfortable space with plenty of warm blankets and toys. In no time, they began eating like champs, jumping and wrestling with each other before falling asleep.
Shortly after arriving, the voices of the newcomers caught the resident’s dog’s ears and she was thrilled.
Kitten-loving dog Kona couldn’t contain her excitement when she found out she had a new foster home. Over the years she has helped foster many kittens. Even the most shy kitty she can’t resist her love.
She was originally sheltered with her own puppy and eventually lived happily with Asa.
Once a mother, always a mother. Kona doesn’t want to empty her own nest and has devoted her passion to taking care of her needy kittens. To Kona, the more she is, the happier she is.
The two kittens weren’t ready for face-to-face mating until they were medically diagnosed, but Kona stepped in and gave them maternal love.
Kona roamed around the playpen, wagging her tail so fast that it turned into a helicopter propeller. “Since they arrived, she’s been really looking forward to seeing them,” Asa told Love Meow.
A few days later she had an official visit with the babies. She was completely overjoyed when one of her kittens, Betty, jumped on her back.
“Just minutes after we met, she’s already taken over the very important role of Betty’s personal jungle gym. She’s in heaven surrounded by kittens again.
“From the moment Betty and Pebbles met, they started climbing on top of her, playing with her legs, drooping ears and ever-wagging tail, and taking naps together.”
Bam-Bam was a little shy at first, but couldn’t resist Kona’s charm. Within minutes, he was after her and competing for her love.
When it came time to meet Fred and Barney, Fred went straight to Kona as if he were his mother. Barney was a little insecure at first, but five minutes later she was hanging out with Kona in her cat bed.
Kona is very attentive and gives her kittens as many kisses and cuddles as she can.
Yesterday, the two kittens officially got together as one big flock. After frolicking around the playpen and getting to know each other, I slipped into bed with Kona and she immediately started cleaning.
One by one, the kittens fell asleep on their mother dog.
Now Kona happily takes Asa to the kitten’s room every morning so that Asa can take care of the baby the way she knows how.
Five puppies are thriving in foster homes because their mother dog is responsive to their whims. Kona runs when the kitten cries. She makes sure they are always loved.
