Decide where you can travel with your pet
After a little research, we came to the conclusion to rent a pet. Our friendly cottage was perfect for our needs. So where do Montrealers go to escape the hustle and bustle of the city? This time, Thousands of Eastern Ontario, he chose the spectacular forested scenery of the Islands region.
It’s lucky that, Lyndhurst’s Cottages – Right on Tranquil Lake Grippen. We stayed where the water was deep, rocky and overgrown with weeds. As part of the lab, Maya would have been delighted if she spent the entire vacation playing in the lake. However, there are plenty of pet-friendly activities in the Thousand Islands area. Getting out to see some of the sights was the highlight of our trip.
Kingston – Canadian history in one place
Even in Kingston, considered one of Canada’s pet-friendly cities, there are some places you can’t visit with furry pets.That said, there are quite a few outdoor areas take Soak up the culture with your dog.
Maya enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the streets of Kingston admiring the historic buildings. And the waterfront she ends at Lake Ontario Park where the trail offers breathtaking views.
During your visit, visit one of the pet-friendly patios such as Chez Piggy, sip a refreshing drink, and board the complimentary 30-minute ferry to Wolfe Island. Yes, dogs are welcome too!
Lansdowne – Visit the weekly outdoor farmers market
Lansdowne just 17 minutes drive have a great Weekly Farmer’s Market From May to October. With plenty of parking and easy access, I love the local produce, baked goods, textile crafts, jewelry, art, maple syrup and honey.
Most of the visitors to the fairgrounds bring their dogs to look at the vendors’ tables. Don’t be surprised if the seller asks if you can give your furry friend a treat.
Charleston Lake State Park – Dog Beach
Charleston Lake State ParkThe wild beauty of the park will definitely leave you speechless. It’s easy to see why this is a popular destination for families who enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and wildlife watching.
It’s not as big as the human beach, but I was still happy to find a pet beach in the park. The area had a few picnic tables, lots of shade, and a very low entrance to the water.
The moment Maya realized she could join the other dogs paddling, she headed straight for the breezy lake.
