Kind people adopted a cat and her kittens from a shelter. The cat “thanked” them in a very gentle way.

A severely pregnant cat was taken to a shelter in urgent need of rescue.when Best Friends Felines (volunteer-based rescue groups) took action immediately after receiving a plea for help.
Shortly after arriving, we learned she had a severe heart murmur and arranged for a special caregiver (Dr. Tess, a veterinarian) to welcome her pregnant mother into her loving home.
A cat named Trixie quickly fell in love and spoiled everyone she met. “She rewards them with endless smoothies, but her little rumbling engine doesn’t stop,” the rescuer said.
In the comfort of her room, Trixie safely gave birth to three kittens. She was a doting mother from her very beginning, her rumbling motor never seemed to stop spinning.
“She looks so content, happy and healthy that you forget she has a serious heart condition.”
As soon as her kittens were old enough to be adopted, they left for their forever homes. Trixie joined the rescue team’s palliative care program so she could receive lifelong support for her special needs.
I was seen by a cardiologist. Her exact lifespan is unknown, but she says it “may be a few months.” As if Trixie had heard her own prognosis, she was determined to live beyond their expectations.
“Trixie has several heart defects and is on several different medications to keep her stable.”
She formed an immediate bond with her caregiver, spending hours with her, playing and being pampered. “She welcomes constant caresses and smoothies from humans and gets her motors going with satisfaction.”
Trixie followed them all over the house. If they were in the office, she’d jump on her desk and happily reach out to her.
When she lived with Dr. Tess, she would often sit next to the computer to “assist” her work.
Trixie also enjoyed spending time with Dr. Tess’ daughter while doing her schoolwork and was her cutest study companion.
She stayed with her as long as she needed, stretching her legs and giving some “points”.
Trixie has been like a sunshine since the day she arrived. She recently moved into a new foster home and quickly became friends with Zoro, the resident cat, and even a dog.
“She continues to give so much love to everyone she meets,” said her adoptive mother, Danielle.
“Trixie loves chasing balls in the hallways and playing with Zoro, especially when Zoro catches Zoomy.”
She loves to get affection from the young people in her family and gives them a feeling of closeness. “She is very patient, even with small children.”
Best Friends Cat celebrated his first year of care, then his second year, and now his third year. Trixie really surprised everyone.
“She wasn’t expected to live more than half a year, but here we are on the road of three years. Just by looking at her, you would never know there was something wrong with her. Let’s go,” said the rescue worker.
Every morning, when Trixie hears people, she runs to the bedroom door and leads them to the kitchen to get food.
“When it’s time to eat, she communicates with you. She keeps us entertained with her quirky personality,” said Danielle.
Trixie exceeds everyone’s expectations and lives life to the fullest. “She is happy and full of her life. We hope she still has many years to live.”
