Kittens can’t jump, but they persevere and hold on every day after someone takes a risk and saves their life.

A long-haired cream colored kitten was brought in Chaton Orphelin Montreal Seeking a chance to get a better life with two other kittens.
A cream-colored kitten named Babar who was rescued from overcrowded conditions had motor skills problems and was very frail due to a severe respiratory infection. “He was the smallest and sickest of the three. Underneath all the matted fur, he was just skin and bones,” the rescuer said.
Despite all the odds, Babar sought affection from people and just wanted to be loved.
Babar had trouble breathing and was immediately treated with antibiotics. With painstaking care and frequent visits to the veterinarian, he was able to recover from the stubborn URI.
They found that he could not run or jump, but could walk around with slow steps. He didn’t have the best coordination, but he always did his best to cherish every step.
“Babar has feline myotonia, a congenital neuromuscular disorder that affects muscles.
“He can’t jump or kick on his hind legs. He can’t get up and down on the sofa by himself. He freezes up when he tries to jump, but walks on the floor just fine.”
Babar got along very well with his foster family. Whenever we went for a walk together, he would stop after a short walk and walk up to his buddy to get his head scratched.
“He has a slow, jerky gait like a penguin. He can use a ramp to get to a window, or get someone to help him up and down a sofa.”
With his newfound strength, Babar became more lively and cheerful. He walked around, honed his gait, and walked around with all his might every day. “He enjoyed it and started chasing other cats around the house.”
He has a smaller body and a slightly different gait. All these quirks make him so adorable.
Babar is a master nap and has the soul of a wise older cat. Sleep is his favorite pastime. “He’s a little slow with his reflexes, but he’s fine.”
“He doesn’t groom himself and likes to be brushed instead. He often falls asleep with his mouth open when we hold him.”
“He can’t jump or run on his hind legs, but he’s very resourceful and will go wherever he wants.”
Babar moves at his own pace and enjoys the world around him. He loves other cats and kittens and they motivate him to stay active. “He likes feather toys, but he loves sleeping in the sun and watching the day go by.”
Nothing seems to prevent him from loving life. When Babar was ready to find his place, rescuers began looking for a special family to give him the best life.
Almost four months after being rescued, Babar’s dream came true.
“He’s found the perfect home so he can enjoy a sweet and secure life. He’s starting a new chapter with his kitty friends and loving humans.”
