A woman was driving her car when she noticed a clump of fur on the side of the road. As she got closer, she realized it was a cream kitten and she wasn’t moving.
She pulled over safely, crossed the road, and checked the situation. When she saw the kitten breathing, she was relieved, scooped up her kitten and rushed for help.
A cat (probably the kitten’s mother) was found a few meters away, but unfortunately it was not saved in what appeared to be a traffic accident. The kitten fell on the side of the road and survived.
The finder took the kitten to a city animal shelter, but when it was not cared for, he sought help from a rescue group.
Community members learned of the kitten’s plight and stepped up their efforts to save the kitten.
“In the hours that followed, a beautiful group of volunteers gathered and were ready to bring the kitten to us in Montreal,” Celine said. chaton au feran montreal Shared.
Volunteers rushed the kitten to the rescue so he could get the treatment he so desperately needed. “Meanwhile, others returned to the site to make sure there were no more kittens on the trail.”
The cream kitten was so frail that she wrapped herself in a blanket in her carrier and slept the whole car. He was covered in dirt and completely exhausted.
“We could feel every bone in his body and he had some scars on his head.
“The kitten was estimated to be about five weeks old and weighed only 348 grams (12 ounces, the size of a three-week-old kitten).” I wanted to endure with all my might.
“We named him ‘trooper’. He wouldn’t have survived long in the open in this condition. We were lucky to find him in the nick of time.”
On his first night in the foster home, the trooper was well fed and rested in a warm bed. Her adoptive mother Celine took her time off to care for her son and she was able to feed him every three hours for 24 hours.
“After several days of care, he is finally able to eat and drink on his own. Troopers are little warriors.”
He ate as much food as he could and slept well, but the trooper didn’t want to be alone. “He woke up in the middle of the night crying for his mother.”
The trooper took a coveted bath to wash away all the dirt and grime on his coat.
Celine spends enough time with her kitten to make sure she gets all the love she needs to feel safe. She even had her native cat, Masha, come to her aid.
Nursing senior cats love kittens, especially those in need of help. When she met the trooper, she seemed to understand what he needed.
Masha groomed him and doted on him. Soon after, they were seen napping together. Trooper was so happy to have a feline friend to lean on, and Marsha hugged him like no other friend, reassuring him that he was loved.
He clings to Masha or hides under the fluff of her belly and feels comfortable and snug.
The trooper gained weight and gained sufficient strength. He’s starting to play and explore new spaces.
It took a village to save lives. With the help of many volunteers, Troopers are eating like kings and enjoying their new lives in comfort and safety.
