Two kittens arrived at the rescue asking for help. They met a dog who knew how to cheer them up.

Founder of Amber Rose saving grace rescueWhen she was checking out kittens in need of care at the San Jose Animal Rescue Center and Services, she came across two sisters who closed their eyes.
They were found as stray dogs and brought to a shelter earlier this month. At about 3 weeks of age, they were underweight, infested with fleas, and had upper respiratory tract infections.
At the time, it was the other two kittens in need of rescue, so Amber and her team of volunteers jumped into action.
Saving Grace Rescue foster mom Joyce adopted them and affectionately named them Coco and Puff. The sisters were treated for infections and their faces cleared.
They began the healing process in a warm and comfortable nursing home. Thanks to proper care, good food and plenty of cuddling, they soon got well and started making good profits.
When my appetite returned, so did my voice. Coco, a white-gloved black kitten, started yelling orders when it was time to eat, refusing to accept a no answer.
“She’s loud and always hungry. She’s very opinionated,” Ms Joyce told Love Meow.
Her sister Puff (a tiger dog) saw Coco venture out into the house and tried to follow in her footsteps. “She’s more gentle, but she’s very smart. She knows how to use the Litter-Robot.”
The kittens have become friendly with people and love their companions. They became very curious and active and were always looking for new friends to play with and cuddle with.
Coco, the fearless chatter, decided to take her little sister along and make the rounds. At the same time, there were other foster parents at home who were just as excited to see them.
Two months before the kittens arrived, Joyce adopted a rescue dog, Chobani. A 2-3 year old terrier mix was found outdoors while pregnant.
After raising puppies with the help of HDBnQ Rescueshe was ready to find her place.
When Chobani heard the kittens meow, his eyes lit up and his instincts welled up. He was itching to see the babies and to pet his kittens.
“She couldn’t resist and wanted to push and lick a lot,” Joyce told Love Meow.
When it was time to meet, Chobani immediately came to greet the kittens. She showered them with kisses and cleaned their faces like her mother.
It didn’t take long before brave Coco took a liking to this sweet dog and leaned over her for even more cuddles.
Coco hops on the couch and plays with Chobani whenever he’s there. After banging her head a few times, she curls up in her arms or lounges next to her. Puff, who doesn’t want to be left out, decides to participate in the cuddle festival.
When Chobani lays on her side, two kittens comfort her by stroking her belly and begin to soothe her by kneading with her front paws and purring.
Chobani was happy to take on the role of surrogate mother, giving her children a pacifier and a nap pillow.
Born sickly kittens, Coco and Puff have fully recovered and are growing bigger, stronger and more confident.
They have loving foster parents who provide them with a future forever home, and a loving mother who caters to their whims.
