A graphic designer from Washington State, Julie is a volunteer with the Benton Franklin Humane Society. Julie meets Snoopy, an elderly deaf dog who has lived in the shelter for the longest time. Snoopy will be there for 653 days!
A year ago, Snoopy was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, which affects hearing and vision. Julie takes Snoopy out of the doghouse to play in her garden. She quickly became attached to him, but she knew he would have a hard time finding his place. He is a happy and lucky dog, but neglected due to his age and health problems. “He enjoys simple pleasures,” Julie says in the video. Puppies love toys and blankets and may suck on them for comfort.
Snoopy has yet to find a home, but people have stepped up to donate items for his kennel, including a comfy orthopedic bed. However, Snoopy is still neglected by adopters due to his age and health. Veterinarians say that with treatment it will likely go well and have a few more years of golden age, but it will require frequent vet visits and expensive medications. In fact, in 653 days, Snoopy has had only one unsuccessful encounter.
The puppy remains homeless in a shelter. Let’s do our part and share his story to help Snoopy live happily ever after! click here!
