Carly Saltarski, Co-Founder salty animal rescue, received a call that a pregnant feral cat needed a safe haven. A gentleman who was feeding her stray cat noticed that her belly was fuller.
He reached out to the community in hopes of getting the help the cat needed. Curley complied immediately and made room for the cat.
Rescue volunteers took action, took the pregnant woman to safety and transferred her to a nursing home.
A cat named Nyx was very shy upon arrival and tried to take refuge. Her quiet, comfortable nursery and plenty of food made her feel more secure.
She lay down on the soft blanket and tucked her legs in to rest her eyes. Curly could bring food to her nest to eat and start building her trust.
About 10 days later, Nix went into labor and gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens, 3 black and 1 calico.
“She needed a little help but she’s trying her best to be a good mother and we couldn’t be happier that this will be her last baby,” Carly said. . “They may have been born in the cold outdoors. These animals need us to fight for them. Fixing one cat can make a big difference and save multiple lives.” may be taken.”
Nix quickly immersed herself in motherhood, tending to the baby’s every whim. Her calico cat, Nori, is packed with her sassiness despite her diminutive size.
Before she opens her eyes, she manages to summon the tiniest ferocious hiss, a natural instinct to protect herself. Her full stomach quickly transformed into a small ‘biscuit factory’, kneading her with her gurgling and her purring.
Food was always plentiful and there never seemed to be a shortage of fresh blankets. Nix was happy to open up to the foster parents and ask them to help take care of the four precious babies.
“I think she’s about two years old. She’s still shy, but she’s starting to learn that humans aren’t that bad. Once she gets used to it, she’s going to be a very loving cat,” Carly said.
“If you give her a good scratch on her head, her motor will fire up. She is obsessed with her adoptive father, perhaps because he was a man. Every time he walked into the room, Then come out and shoo them away with a headband.”
Nix has watched the kittens grow big and strong and reach many milestones. When they were old enough to adopt, the three quickly found their forever homes.
Since then, Mama Nix and her abandoned kitten Newt have become very good friends. They spend long hours cuddling up in the cat tree. Rescuers hope the two can find a loving home together.
“Nix will do best in a home with another friendly cat. She will be very sad if she doesn’t have a kitty friend. She has the most beautiful eyes and her fur is me is the softest I’ve ever felt. She will be a great family member in this house.”I’ll be home soon.” ”
Having spent most of her life roaming the city, Nyx is very happy to be indoors and not have to worry about food or shelter.
“I know there’s a social affectionate cat out there. She just needs the right person to bring it out.”
