The cat showed up outside the man’s house for food and returned a month later for help.

A black and white cat appeared outside a Montreal resident’s home, scavenging for food.
Resident Sebastian, who has four cats, offered him pellets and water. The stray dog cut it off and flew away shortly after. He didn’t return until a few weeks later when temperatures started to drop.
“He was hungry and thirsty, so he went back to where he had gotten his food before,” said Céline Krom. Chaton Orphelin Montreal Share it with Lovenya.
The cat came to the porch by the window and saw a cat inhabitant in a warm house while he was out in the cold. “Sebastian wanted to help the cat inside, but the cat was too scared, so he tried to gain his trust.”
He built an outdoor shelter and provided daily food for stray dogs. “The cat immediately took refuge in the shelter to protect himself from the cold.
One day the cat appeared on the porch again, damp and haggard. He was cold and hungry, so he wanted somewhere warm.
Sebastian put food near the door to lure him inside. Slowly but surely, the cat decided to give indoor living a try. “He finally agreed to be adopted.”
Sebastian contacted a local conservation group, Chatons Orphelin’s Montreal, and offered to foster him. “We named the cat Milo. He was covered in dirt and his hair was a little matted, but he was fine.”
They were able to find a microchip, but it was not registered. They tracked it down to the pound it was issued in, but there was no information about the cat being recorded.
“Milo was left outside alone and no one was looking for him. I had.”
To help the cat get used to home life, Sebastian remade a shelter similar to Milo’s favorite verandah shelter.
“Milo went straight into the house to feel safe. There he spent a lot of time sleeping. He regained his appetite and strength.”
Cat decided to come out of his comfort box one day and explore his new space. He sniffed every nook and cranny and then walked over to his adoptive father for some pets.
“Milo quickly became the center of attention.
When he found the toy, his eyes lit up and he started jumping, kicking, and jumping around with kitten-like energy. “He loves pats on the head and rolls on his back more. He’s become a very affectionate cat.”
The once timid stray dog has turned into a lovey-dovey character. To continue his socialization, rescue volunteer Anne-Marie welcomed him into her care. It was love at first sight for both of us.
Milo immediately switched on the rumbling motor, making a constant rumbling noise. He followed her adoptive mother around her house, sat beside her, walked happily on her paws.
“Milo has become best friends with our alumni cat (Pixie), who we took care of.
Milo sunbathes with Pixie by the window and plays hard every day. He fits so well into his foster family, as if he’s the missing piece.
During the day, Milo purrs and snuggles with his family. At night he snuggles up to them in bed and purrs in their ears. Anne-Marie, she knows where she is.
“The moment he came home for a few weeks in foster care, I knew he would never leave,” Annemarie said.
Searching for help, Milo wandered through the right homes and found the perfect family to spend the rest of his life with.
